Could you tell us about your company and what it does?
We are an international company specializing in long-term vehicle rentals for businesses. Our goal is to provide flexible mobility solutions tailored to our customers' needs.
What were your main challenges before implementing the solution?
Before CarFleet, managing tracking devices was more of a hassle. Physically installing the equipment made it difficult to receive new vehicles or resell them, since we had to rely on a technician being available to install or remove the tracking devices. Today, with Echoes, we activate and deactivate vehicles remotely, which saves us valuable time. The tool is very easy to use and intuitive.
How do you use CarFleet on a daily basis?
We mainly use it for real-time tracking and geofencing. When a vehicle leaves a defined zone, we immediately receive an alert, allowing us to respond quickly and assess the situation—a feature you won’t find anywhere else. We also use CarFleet to share information with the police when a vehicle is reported stolen: the tool allows us to grant temporary access to law enforcement to facilitate the recovery of the vehicle.
What are the main benefits you've noticed?
Thanks to CarFleet, we’ve expanded our tracking to cover a larger number of vehicles, whereas previously we focused solely on high-end models or those at higher risk. The tool also allows us to quickly locate a vehicle when it’s in the shop, thereby avoiding any confusion in tracking our fleet. Overall, we have better control over our vehicles and can respond more effectively when problems arise.
Can you give a specific example of a time when CarFleet was particularly helpful to you?
Yes, a notable incident occurred shortly after I joined the company. A vehicle triggered a geofencing alert when it crossed a defined zone between northern and southern Italy. Upon analyzing the data, we discovered that the individual had previously stolen another one of our vehicles. Thanks to real-time tracking, we were able to locate and recover both vehicles in Sicily with the help of the authorities.
