Our Services
Echoes offers digital products and services to its customers via web and mobile applications to collect, harmonize, and analyze data from connected motor vehicles, enabling mobility providers and fleet managers to leverage this data (data from automotive equipment manufacturers). This Privacy Statement applies to these products and services as well as to the associated platforms and applications.
Echoes is a member of the Moving Intelligence group, which specializes in security and communication solutions for vehicles and mobile assets. The group develops, manufactures, and sells hardware for data collection, as well as software for the collection, processing, integration, and analysis of data (in real time).
Legal basis for data processing
We will only collect and process your personal data if we have a legal basis for doing so. The following legal bases apply:
- The processing is necessary for the performance of your agreement.
- Processing is necessary to protect our legitimate business interests, for example: to conduct our business operations; for certain forms of direct marketing and profiling; to store information about your account so that you can reactivate it at a later date; to detect or prevent fraud or misuse of our services; and/or to ensure the security of our network and systems.

When, how, and what personal data is collected?
We need certain personal data to provide you with the best possible user experience and to keep you informed about our products and services. We collect and process personal data as follows:
1. Data you provide
This refers to the data you enter yourself when using our websites, products, and services. This information includes your name, email address, search terms you enter, your address, phone number, etc.:

2. Metadata
This refers to information that is automatically collected or generated when you use Echoes’ websites, products, or services. This information includes data you enter into the user interface and during other device activities, as well as IP addresses, unique device identifiers, MAC addresses of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, cookies, and data from computing activities, for example.

We use this information within the limits specified by the third parties, as well as within the limits of our own principles and privacy policy. We receive real-time information on location, speed, sensors, and other vehicles, as well as device information regarding, for example, mobile phone users, corporate vehicle fleets, and vehicles equipped with online maps or traffic and travel services. We use this information only after ensuring that it cannot be traced back to you
We also receive personal information from third parties if you have interacted with them, for example, if you have visited their websites or used their mobile apps. This information may include IP addresses, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth MAC addresses, cookies, and other information about your online activity, as well as insights into your behavior, interests, and demographics.

Where is your personal data processed?
For hosting and maintenance purposes, your personal data will be stored within the European Union. We will process your personal data at one or more of the Moving Intelligence Group’s sites.

In principle, decisions regarding the purposes and means of processing personal data are made by Echoes, which acts as the controller of such personal data. However, in certain cases, the Moving Intelligence Group determines the means of processing
