Octoloc in CarLocate: “Respond quickly to suspicious behavior thanks to geofencing alerts.”

To optimize the management and security of its vehicles, the leasing company Octoloc has chosen Echoes. With CarLocate, the company is strengthening its fleet for long-term rentals. Marion Martin, Operations Manager, shares her experience with us. 

Could you tell us a little about Octoloc? 

Octoloc specializes in long-term vehicle rentals for professionals. We are based in Aubergenville in the Yvelines department. We serve customers throughout France, particularly in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Our fleet consists of approximately 150 vehicles of various makes, excluding sports cars, which are leased for 24-month periods with a mileage limit of 60,000 km. 

What challenges did you face before you started using Echoes' CarLocate?

Since no hardware installation was required, we were able to reduce costs and technical limitations. In October 2024, we began connecting our vehicles. Each alert is processed based on the customer’s profile and the vehicle’s location, allowing us to be more proactive in our risk management. In the event of a confirmed theft, we can immediately call on the CarControl recovery service provided by Echoes. 

How satisfied are you with CarLocate? 

 We really like how the tool works. It’s intuitive and ready to use right away. To avoid losing rental days, a vehicle should ideally be connected on the day it arrives in our fleet. With hardware boxes, this is very difficult. Echoes’ solution makes it possible to connect vehicles almost immediately. Moreover, the Echoes teams are efficient and fast. Even the smallest issue is resolved immediately and professionally. 

How do you see fleet management evolving in the coming years? 

I think it’s important to try to anticipate future problems and continuously improve our management methods. With Echoes, we’re confident we can do that. We know where our vehicles are, and we can respond if something goes wrong.
