CarLocate connects directly to the built-in telematics systems of newer vehicles and retrieves OEM data from automakers. This means you don’t need to install any external GPS devices: location tracking, mileage, and certain diagnostic data are automatically uploaded to the platform.
2. Does the system work even if the vehicle's battery is disconnected?
When the battery is disconnected, real-time data transmission may be interrupted, but a disconnection alert is immediately generated on compatible models. Some manufacturers offer built-in backup systems that allow you to retain some functionality; our teams will inform you of the level of service available for your specific vehicle makes.
3. In which countries is the CarControl recovery service available?
The CarControl service is already operational in several European countries to assist in the recovery of stolen vehicles. During the onboarding process, we’ll work with you to confirm the exact list of countries covered and the procedures for collaborating with local law enforcement agencies.
