Moving Intelligence and Echoes are joining forces to reshape the future of European connected vehicle solutions

Toulon, January 18, 2024 – Moving Intelligence, a leader in secure asset tracking, responsible fleet management, and smart mobility, announces its partnership with Echoes, a recognized leader in next-generation vehicle data solutions. The combined group will create an undisputed European leader in smart connected vehicle solutions, serving customers in 10 European countries with 500,000 connected assets expected by the end of the year.

Echoes provides fleet management and security solutions by connecting directly to the telematics units built in by OEMs, which are installed in most new vehicles. This significantly reduces hardware and installation costs, downtime, and management and service costs for fleet operators. Echoes integrates with a wide range of new vehicles (>90%), and its compatibility with OEMs continues to grow daily. The company is based in France and operates in Germany, the United Kingdom, Benelux, Italy, Spain, and the Nordic countries.

Advanced solutions just a click away

This landmark transaction anticipates strategic trends in the field of connected mobility and is primarily driven by our desire to provide customers with simple, effective solutions at the click of a button. Together, Echoes and Moving Intelligence can provide a comprehensive range of advanced telematics solutions in the areas of safety, fleet management, non-motorized asset tracking, and sustainability to a customer base spanning rental/leasing companies, dealerships, enterprises, and SMEs.

Scalability

Patrick Horst, CEO of Moving Intelligence, comments: “We are extremely proud of our partnership with Echoes, the market leader in rapidly growing connected vehicle solutions. Echoes represents the future by enabling us to connect directly to the customer’s vehicle without installing any additional hardware. This expands our geographic reach, the scalability of our offering, and the services we can provide, while significantly reducing installation costs and downtime for customers. It’s a win-win proposition for our customers, and we’re already working hard to integrate Echoes’ features into our platform and vice versa.”

“This partnership is ideal for our customers and partners,” adds Mathieu Chènebit, president of Echoes, “as it allows us to add high-quality security products to our portfolio while also benefiting from the company’s strong existing presence in Europe, including local support and partnerships. OEM data and a certified device will offer our customers the best of both worlds.”

Background and Outlook

Both companies share a strong commitment to international growth and are already leaders in telematics solutions within their respective fields. By combining their expertise, they are ideally positioned to meet the current and future needs of their customers. Going forward, both brands will continue to operate independently, with Moving Intelligence and Echoes functioning as separate entities. Customers will be able to continue using their trusted services and, going forward, will have the opportunity to benefit from the services of both brands. For employees, there will be no significant changes, other than that they will now be part of a larger international organization, working closely together to deploy solutions to existing and potential customers.
