Echoes is the European leader in providing neutral server and web-based solutions for B2B customers in the Short-Term Rental, Leasing, and Mobility sectors. Our technology collects and harmonizes vehicle data directly from OEM-embedded telematics, delivering it via API or tailored products.
Echoes is offering Vehicle Data as a Service to B2B customers willing to use the data of their vehicles, for the time needed and with the flexibility required to build efficient and relevant business case.
To reinforce its footprint in the strategic regions in Europe and accelerate the business acquisition, Echoes is looking for motivated high-performing Sales Director. The successful candidate will meet company’s objectives in customer acquisition and revenue growth.
Position Summary
The Sales Director will be facing the exciting challenge to tackle the UK & Ireland and introduce Echoes as the number 1 fleet management solution. You will identify business opportunities and will execute the strategy to grow the business. You are a true “hunter” with strong closing skills that will oversee all prospecting and close deals.
You will lead all aspects of the sales process in this region, while coordinating with other company resources for solution development, implementation, and customer support.
You will proactively assesses, clarify, and validate customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key customers in conjunction with Account and Program Managers. This position provides a management-level point of contact for key customers and builds and maintains strong customer relationships.
You are also responsible for building a team and are accountable for the performance and motivation of the team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Build an entire market and network from scratch
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
- Build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
- Grow market share through proactive acquisition of new customers and expansion of existing business
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
- Investigate potential new opportunities within the account
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Provides short and long term forecast to support revenue, product and solution planning
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators that will lead to increased profit, and improved customer satisfaction
- Build a team in line with the company strategy and business performance
- Manage and motivate the team to make each member a high performer and happy contributor to the success
- Maintain an effective and clear understanding of industry regulations, market trends and competitive landscape
- Elevate and promote the company brand and image
- Attend industry functions, events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and industry trends
Minimum Requirements
- 10-15+ years’ experience within business development, meeting or exceeding targets
- 10+ years’ industry experience in this region with good network and track record
- Experience building, leading and growing a successful sales team
- Previous experience as a senior business development manager, sales manager, or sales director
- Good understanding of the challenges selling SAAS solution
- Technical knowledge in the telematics technology, software development, automotive and/or other related applicable markets
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to: drive the sales process from plan to close, articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English + any additional language is a plus
